Itinerary
Day 1: Perth to Monkey Mia
We journey north via the 'lobster fishing' town of Port Denison where we stop for lunch by the water's edge. We continue north across the Greenough Flats, better known for unusual 'leaning trees', travel via Geraldton and Northampton to the world heritage listed area of Shark Bay to our overnight accommodation located at the Monkey Mia Beach where the dolphins come in.
Accommodation: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort or similar
Day 2: Monkey Mia to Carnarvon
As our accommodation is located right at the dolphin interaction beach, you can spend extra time at the waters edge this morning where you may encounter a visit by the famous Monkey Mia dolphins. As they are wild, dolphin appearances can't be guaranteed but coming in at regular times through the day to interact with people has been a ritual for many years. This afternoon we visit the town of Denham for lunch, incredible Shell Beach and the Stromatolites before travelling south to Kalbarri.
Known for wild flowers (Jul-Oct) and magnificent rocky landscapes we visit Hawks Head, one of the areas most spectacular red river gorges in the Kalbarri National Park.

Day 3: Kalbarri to Perth
Homeward bound, we enjoy sightseeing along the Kalbarri coastal gorges. Travel south breaking for lunch at the rock lobster fishing village of Cervantes - gateway to the renowned Pinnacles Desert, an amazing moon-like landscape and truly one of Australia's most mystical experiences. Time will be allowed to stroll among these limestone spires and take photographs, before continuing back to Perth.
