Itinerary
Day 1: Darwin (Thu)
Explore Darwin with a visit to the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens. Enjoy time to wander through the three unique collections of flora. Afterwards, continue to Fannie Bay and admire views of the Indian Ocean. Tonight, gather with your Tour Director, Driver and fellow travellers for a Welcome Dinner.

Day 2: Adelaide River, Nabilil Sunset Cultural Cruise (Fri)
Travel to the township of Adelaide River and visit an Australian war cemetery. There are 434 servicemen and 63 civilians buried here, all of whom died as a result of Japanese bombing raids. This evening, head into Nitmiluk National Park and join the Nabilil Dreaming Sunset Cultural Cruise. Cruise down Katherine Gorge as the sun sets, listening to commentary on Aboriginal art, local plants and a wide range of wildlife while enjoying a delicious buffet dinner.

Day 3: Lake Argyle, Ord River Wildlife Cruise, Kununurra (Sat)
This morning journey to Lake Argyle, the largest man-made lake in the southern hemisphere. From Lake Argyle, join what is reputed to be one of Australia's most scenic and fascinating cruises into the majestic Ord River. As you cruise, admire the peculiar Boab trees and wide variety of birds that can be seen. The river runs for 320 km and was named in honour of Harry Ord, former Governor of Western Australia. After the cruise, continue to Kununurra, your home for the next two nights.

Day 4: Kununurra (Sun)
Spend the morning at leisure to discover the sights of Kununurra for yourself. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the town and learn about the history of this isolated municipality.

Day 5: Wyndham, El Questro (Mon)
Travel to Wyndham, Western Australia's most northerly port and see views from Five Rivers Lookout. Afterwards continue to El Questro Wilderness Park, one of the world's most unique holiday destinations. Lying in the heart of the Kimberley and one of the last unspoilt frontiers, El Questro encompasses 405,000 hectares of stunning Kimberley wilderness. Much of this spectacular region has still not been explored and has never been settled - yet it is home to four river systems, from freshwater rivers to saltwater estuaries. Take time to discover scenic rivers and gorges and explore this huge park.

Day 6: El Questro, Freedom of Choice Touring (Tue)
Discover El Questro with our Freedom of Choice Touring options. Perhaps cruise Chamberlain Gorge, learn about bush tucker and take a historical tour of the wilderness park, or enjoy a picnic hamper and spend the afternoon at leisure. Afterwards, enjoy a walk through lush Zebedee Springs and maybe soak in the small thermal pools situated in a pocket of tropical Livistona and Pandanus palms. Later, the energetic may walk to Emma Gorge to view the stunning droplet waterfall. Tonight relax and watch the sun set over the dramatic Cockburn Range.

Day 7: Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine (Wed)
Take a guided tour through the renowned Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine, one of the largest in the world. Admire the exquisite coloured diamonds, particularly the rare and coveted pink diamond. Continue to Halls Creek, an old gold mining town and the centre of the region's cattle industry.

Day 8: Geikie Gorge Cruise with Ranger (Thu)
Join a local ranger for a guided cruise through Geikie Gorge, famous for its limestone walls which are bleached as the result of seasonal flooding. This is one of Australia's most spectacular waterways and home to an abundance of wildlife, including crocodiles, fruit bats, wallabies, dingoes and many species of bird. Look out for stingrays that have adapted to this freshwater environment. Later, journey to Fitzroy Crossing, on the banks of the Fitzroy River.

Day 9: Fitzroy Crossing, Broome (Fri)
This morning depart Fitzroy Crossing and travel to Broome, a relaxed coastal town in Australia's north west. Enjoy some time at leisure to stroll along the white sands past the turquoise waters of Cable Beach, relax in the luxury of your resort or perhaps head into Broome and explore the pearl showrooms that line the streets of Chinatown. Enjoy the evening at the resort.
