Itinerary
Day 1: Darwin to Victoria River
We begin our adventure travelling south down 'The Track' (Stuart Hwy) to Edith Falls where we break for a refreshing swim and some time to get to know each other. Travelling further south we have a short stop at Katherine Gorge before heading west towards the Western Australian wilderness. We set up camp beside the Victoria River for our first night together. Overnight bush camp.

Day 2: Victoria River to Kununurra
Up early this morning as we cross the border into Western Australia. We visit the largest man made lake in Australia - Lake Argyle and explore the area before heading for the capital of the north - Kununurra and our overnight campsite.

Day 3: Kununurra to the Bungle Bungles
Explore Kununurra, the town of the Ord River Scheme and the scenic Hidden Valley National Park. Then sit back and admire the awesome views of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges as we head to Turkey Creek. Next its time to buckle up and hold on for the challenging 4WD trip into the Bungle Bungle (Purnululu) National Park for sunset over the Osmond Ranges and our camp.

Day 4: Bungle Bungle NP
We spend the full day exploring the unusual rock formations of the Bungle Bungle Ranges, visiting the unique Frog Hole, the breathtaking Echidna Chasm, and the magnificent Cathedral Gorge. There's also time for an optional scenic helicopter flight (at own expense) over the Bungles. We complete our day with another amazing sunset.

Day 5: Bungle Bungle NP to El Questro
We travel out of the Bungles to El Questro Station. Sit back and admire the awesome scenery of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges as we head to Turkey Creek and onto El Questro to set up camp.

Day 6: Gibb River Road & Gorges
We tackle the punishing Gibb River Road stopping to hike into the beautiful Cockburn Ranges and swim under the waterfall in Emma Gorge. We cross the Pentecost River and travel through the spectacular ranges before heading to our overnight bush camp.

Day 7: Gibb River Road & Gorges
Today it's time for swimming and hiking in the Kimberleys! We explore striking Manning Gorge and Barnett Gorge (time permitting). Your experienced guide will use their local knowledge to determine the most accessible gorges to explore. Tonight we camp at Manning Gorge.

Day 8: King Leopold Range - Windjana Gorge
A day of swimming and hiking as we explore some of these striking gorges : Barnett, Manning, Galvins or Adcock Gorge (seasonal) before making our way to Windjana Gorge, known for its abundant freshwater crocodiles. It's also our camp for the night.

Day 9: Windjana Gorge to Broome
We head towards the Napier Range and the fascinating 750 metre underground tunnel of Tunnel Creek, an area rich in bushranger history. Making tracks, we head towards Broome and stop briefly at Willare Bridge, where a rushing torrent of water flows in the mighty Fitzroy River (seasonal). Late afternoon we arrive in Broome, our aim is to catch up brilliant Cable Beach sunset.

Q. Do I need to reconfirm my tour?
A. YES! FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN THE CANCELLATION OF YOUR BOOKING. You must call the tour operator before 16.00hrs (4.00pm) with your tour confirmation number, date of travel, accommodation and room number
Q. What to bring
A. Sturdy walking shoes (preferably ankle high), hat and sunscreen, towel and toiletries, swimming gear, warm clothing, water bottle, torch, insect repellant, fly net to cover your head if you are bothered by flies (outback tours particularly), camera, pillow, sleeping bag (can be hired)
Q. Do I have to participate?
A. Part of the enjoyment of our tours is bonding with a group of like-minded adventurers so we make them active and hands on. Passengers are expected to help with the preparation of food, washing of dishes and general assistance to the guide as directed
Q. What do I eat?
A. Emphasis is on fresh food wherever possible and meals are nutritious and varied. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we can cater for you, but if you have very specific dietary needs you may need to provide your own food, please discuss this at time of booking. For breakfast cereals, toast, tea and coffee are supplied. Lunch is usually a self-serve sandwich and salads; in the evening we have a cooked dinner. We always carry water in the vehicle and you will often have the chance to buy your own drinks, ice-creams etc at stops

A. Occasionally itineraries change as we make improvements based on comments from past travellers and our own research.
Q. Behaviour
A. The tour operator can refuse to carry a person whose behavior is detrimental to the enjoyment of the group. By joining a tour you agree to accept the authority of the guide and accept their decisions. Staff are entitled to a safe working environment and fellow passengers to a great holiday. Any threats to safety being physical or verbal or inappropriate behavior will result in removal from the trip. If a guide requires a passenger to leave the trip no refund will be given and that passenger will be responsible for their own travel costs from that point.
Q. Release form
A. Adventure travel carries a higher than normal risk and a signed release will be required from all participants before tour departure. This is signed on the first day of departure on each separate touring module if part of a larger package.


This tour is only for fit and active people, who can hike 5-9kms a day over uneven terrain, often in high temperatures and sleep on the ground in a swag.
