Ayers Rock

 Orange Arrow Uluru is notable for appearing to change colour as the different light strikes it at different times of the day and year, with sunset a particularly remarkable sight when it briefly glows red.



Kata Tjuta

 Orange Arrow Kata Tjuta, known also as The Olgas. Kata Tjuta is the Aboriginal name, which means "many heads'. It is a group of more than 30 rounded red domes rising from the desert floor. The tallest is said to be around 546 metres high. Kata Tjuta is about 30 kilometres west of Uluru.

Tag 1: Ayers Rock - Yulara

Meet & Greet bei der Ankunft in Yulara . Danach geht es weiter zu unserem dauerhaften Campingplatz, auf dem wir uns mit einem leckeren Mittagessen stärken. Den Nachmittag verbringen wir am Uluru (Ayers Rock), wo wir das bedeutendste Weltkulturerbe dieses Territoriums erkunden. Entdecken Sie bei einer Tour durch den Uluru antike Höhlen, die durch die Malereien der Aborigines geprägt sind und lernen Sie durch Ihre fachkundige Reiseleitung die älteste Kultur der Welt kennen! Bei Sonnenuntergang können Sie die spektakulären Farbveränderungen des Uluru genießen. Anschließend kehren wir zum Campingplatz zurück, wo uns bereits eine traditionelle, australische Mahlzeit erwartet. Nach dem Abendessen heißt es Entspannen unter dem sternenklaren

Tag 2: Yulara nach Kings Creek

Das frühe Aufstehen wird durch einen atemberaubenden Sonnenaufgang an den Kata-Tjuta (Olgas) belohnt. Bei einem Spaziergang bewundern wir die Schönheit der 36 magischen Felsen und erfahren Interessantes über die einzigartige Tier- und Pflanzenwelt, sowie den Umgang mit Buschbränden im Nationalpark. Wir setzen unsere Reise an diesem Nachmittag über die roten Sanddünen mit seinen Wüstenbäumen fort und fahren zur Kings Creek Station (Rinderfarm), wo Ihnen zahlreiche optionale Aktivitäten angeboten werden. Geniessen sie anschliessend ein traditionelles „camp oven“- Abendessen unter freiem Sternenhimmel, welches auf offenem Lagerfeuer zubereitet wird.

Tag 3: Kings Creek nach Alice Springs

Am Morgen, nach einem ausreichenden Frühstück, besuchen wir den atemberaubenden Kings Canyon. Gemütlich wandern wir am Canyon entlang und sehen Orte wie „Lost City“ und „Garden of Eden“, sowie die eindrucksvollen Nord- und Südwände. Viele Gelegenheiten, unvergessliche Fotos zu schießen! Zum Mittagessen fahren wir zurück zur Kings Creek Station, bevor wir durch Sanddünnen nach Alice Springs zurückkehren, wo wir voraussichtlich um 17.00 Uhr ankommen werden (während der Sommermonate werden wir früher zurückkehren.)

What You Need to Know

Your Vehicle: You will be travelling vehicle specifically designed and built for Australian outback conditions. Vehicles are air-conditioned for your comfort, have CD players and/or Ipod connections and large panoramic windows for uninterrupted sightseeing. Smoking is prohibited on the coach.

Your Road Crew: On most of our tours, your crew will consist of a Driver/Guide. Some tours have drivers and interpreter guides. Our crew are chosen for their driving skills, their knowledge of the outback, their personality and of course their leadership abilities. They are also trained to prepare tasty wholesome meals and will do their utmost to ensure you have a great holiday. Assistance with camp chores is appreciated and forms part of the group camping experience and travel in the Aussie Outback.

Your Meals: Your tour includes meals as indicated. On most days, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be included. Your driver/guide will prepare most of the meals whilst on tour with your assistance with the catering supplied by the local indigenous company, Kungka's Can Cook. Please make sure you advise us of any special dietary requirements well prior to travelling. Complementary wine is also served with dinner on our Red Centre trips.

Participation on Tour: All tours are activity and participation based. During your travels you will have the opportunity to assist with daily activities such as setting up camp, helping prepare meals and clearing dishes. None of this is difficult however many hands make light work and any assistance provided to crew is always much appreciated. Most people agree that this type of activity helps you feel like less of a tourist and more of an explorer.

Tours are also relatively active. Whilst most hikes/walks can be tailored to suit individual fitness levels, please keep in mind that extreme temperatures during summer can add an extra degree of difficulty. During summer months itineraries may be altered to to ensure the more strenuous walks are carried out during the cooler hours of the day. Passenger safety and enjoyment is our priority. To avoid dehydrations, we recommend drinking 1 litre of water per hour when hiking.

Camping Facilities on Tour: Camp sites in the Red Centre are comfortable without compromising the unique natural setting. All of the tents are twin share, have hard floors and real beds. Being permanent sites, there's no pitching of tents and all campsites have hot/cold running water with toilets and shower blocks close by. Sleeping bags and sheep sheets are provides at no extra cost. A travel pillow and towel will be provided for you to use and keep for your future travels! Camp stretchers are also provided for adventurous travellers who want to sleep out under the stars! Environmental Dyno lanterns are also provided within the tents. Power boards are available to recharge your cameras' and videos' battery packs in all our camps.
