 Orange Arrow Kings Canyon is is a huge canyon 270m high. The walk around the rim of the canyon is definitely worth it as the views are spectacular, although it can take 3-4 hours and should only be attempted early in the morning during the summer months. On your way around the rim of the canyon you will pass the tropical pools of the Garden of Eden, and the beehive rock formations called the Lost City. The views from the canyon are also spectacular, overlooking the beautiful landscape.



Alternatively...

 Orange Arrow You can take the walk through the canyon gorge looking up to the towering canyon above you. This walk is a slightly more reasonable 1 hour walk.

Itinerary

Depart Alice Springs at 6.30 am, stopping at Mt Ebenezer for a light breakfast along the way. On arrival at Kings Canyon enjoy a prepared lunch, then a 3 hour guided rim walk (though if weather conditions are over 35 degree Celsius or if the group prefers we can opt to do a base walk and visit to Kathleen Springs instead).

Travel back to Mt Ebenezer for dinner, drive in coach comfort to Alice Springs returning approx midnight in cooler months and 1.00am warmer months.

What To Bring:
Dress in the Northern Territory is casual and comfortable. Winter nights (May to August) can be cold, so bring warm clothing. Days are sunny and warm. Remember to bring strong, non-slip walking shoes, hats, sunglasses, camera, water bottle & sunscreen.
