Itinerary
Whistler Wines is a small boutique winery producing wines of outstanding flavour, is our first stop for the day starting with an appetizer of almonds, macadamia nuts, fresh Fust cheese, Greenock Gruth cheese & other items matching with a dry white wine. The cellar door is unique, nestled amongst magnificent gums with the sounds of the countryside around while enjoying their premium hand crafted wines.
Cockatoo Ridge as Australian as the white cockatoo gracing its label, the cellar door blends harmoniously with the heritage of the Barossa Valley which is our next stop for an entree consisting of smoked salmon, sundried tomato, olives, dips, Washington wash rind cheese, Baillie brie cheese complemented by a full bodied white.
Ross Estate Wines established in 1999 by the Ross family, a combination of meticulous winemakers & young spirits has seen this modern winery reach new heights. Using fruit sourced solely from their estates in the Barossa Valley, the style is truly Barossa encapsulating "The Soul of the Vine", our stop for main course, working with a fine tannic red, offers smoked meats, gherkins, pickled onions, sauerkraut, frittata, Annulet cheese, cheddar cheese & other items.
Kellermeister/Trevor Jones Wines another of the Barossa's small family owned wineries producing a wide range of quality wines. As well as an award range of white & red wines, they produce an excellent range of ports, dessert wines etc. The Kellermeister range is available from cellar door only. This is our last stop for the day for a dessert platter of blue cheese, almond crisps, raisins, glace fruits, spicy currant biscuits next to a dessert wine.
